In-home physiotherapy

Stroke rehabilitation
at home

After a stroke, regaining walking, balance and independence takes sustained rehabilitation. Retraining in your real environment — your home — is the most effective setting for the brain to rewire itself.

Who is this service for?

This service is for people recovering from a stroke (cerebrovascular accident) who want to regain their mobility, strength and independence — at any stage of recovery, from hospital discharge to maintaining long-term gains.

What we work on

  • Gait re-education and transfers (bed, chair, toilet)
  • Motor recovery and coordination of the affected side
  • Balance training and fall prevention
  • Tailored strengthening and spasticity management
  • Guidance and support for family caregivers

What to expect

Each session lasts 60 minutes and takes place entirely in your home. On the first visit (initial assessment, 60–90 min), Vitaliy assesses your abilities, your goals and your environment to build a rehabilitation plan. Following sessions combine functional exercises, gait and balance work, and advice to make the home safe.

An official receipt is provided after every session, accepted by all major insurers in Quebec.

Why at home?

The brain relearns best in real, familiar contexts. Retraining walking in your own hallway, transfers on your actual chair and daily movements in your kitchen is far more relevant than a clinical gym. Eliminating travel fatigue also allows more frequent sessions, better matched to your energy levels.

"The brain learns best in real, familiar contexts — home is the ideal rehabilitation setting."
